Custom Property NODE vs INTERFACE

I've created a Custom Property for Node and another one for Interface. In Orion, I can enter info and update the information on the Node's Custom Property. For the Interface Custom Property I can not enter or update the info. It displays correctly, but I must go into the Custom Property Editor to change the info. Is this the way it works or am I doing something wrong?
