.NET Framework/Event Forwarder on x64

We recently built 2 new servers with Windows Server 2003 X64 edition. The first thing that we installed (or tried to) was the Orion Windows Event Log Forwarder. We have installed the .net Framework version 2.0, but whenever we try to install the Event Forwarder, we get the following message popup:

"This setup requires the .NET Framework version 1.1.4322. Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again. The .NET Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now?"

This install works fine on any x86 server with .NET version 2.0...perhaps we are missing some libraries with the x64 version?

Or it may have to do with the fact that it is an x64 operating system...or the .INI file associated with the install.

I have seen that error message before, and I had to uninstall .NET 2.0 and then install the application to get it to work. Not saying that it will work here, but you might give it a try.

Just to clarify the original 3/23/07 post above Orion supports x64 as of 8.1, but
Windows Event Forwarder does not. We are considering adding x64 support
to WEF in a future release.

Is there any update on this problem. We are rollingout 75 servers that are x64 and would love to have the ability to send event log data to the log server.
