We have two Cisco 4400's wireless controllers which I am trying to ad to Solarwinds. SNMP communities are enabled on them but when I try to ad them as a node the snmp credentials fail
Has anyone configured SNMP on these to work with Solarwinds?
I just set up the community strings and put 0.0.0.0 for the IP and net mask and enabled it
Have you enabled snmp v1, v2 or snmp v3 in the general menu under Management>SNMP?
yes.. I know that WCS communicates with the 4400's. I setup SNMP ver 2 made sure it was enables, set up the usual community strings, put the IP address of Solarwinds in the controller for allowinf snmp strings etc
I have run into the same issue, and am just starting to look into it. I would love to hear an easy anwser that does not involve a custom poller.
It looks like SNMP v2 does not seem to work properly, or more likely it can not be querried for the types of information that would be useful. Any ideas?
