I am confused about the using "Re-Apply Polling Intervals" button after making changes to the global node polling setting. I always understood that if one changes the polling interval, then clicks on Submit at the bottom of the page WITHOUT clicking on the Re-Apply button, then the new interval will only apply to nodes added after that point in time.
However, I just tested that theory, and all my node polling intervals changed, even though the Lock button is checked.
So, let's start from the beginning with some questions:
How do the Reapply, Submit and Lock buttons actually function, and what determines in what combination and order they should be used?
