Orion NPM SQL Server Authentication

Question

Running v7 of Orion NPM.

Currently have the SQL database (MS-SQL) on a seperate server using a SQL username/password for authentication.

I would like to use a Windows NT account for the authentication, rather than a SQL username/password.

I have a Windows NT service account setup that has rights to the database, but running the configuration wizard/database setup, and selecting "Login using Windows Integrated Security"  gives me the following error:  " does not have administrator rights on the server myservername."

I am not even prompted for the Windows account information.

I appreciate any suggestions.

P.S.  One of the the reason I am making the change is I have been informed by our security team that the sql username/password is being passed in clear text across the wire.

Actually it's called 'run as'.
You can right click on any program file & select 'run as'.
I'm not sure this is what you're after.....

We also tried going down the service account path, but found that the only way to get the Configuration Wizard to run the database piece was to use the SA account. I'm no SQL guy, but from what I've seen, it seems that when the Config Wizard is run, it checks to make sure that it is "GOD" on the SQL server before proceeding. A DBO account doesn't cut it.

Actually I am not logged in as that account, the idea was to use a service account that did not have login capability, only allow authentication between the two servers.

Maybe I will try to have the account enabled for login long enought to run the wizard, and then turn it off.

Where's 'su' for windows when you need it?!
