Display a list of connected wireless client on a map

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if it's possible to display on a map of my wireless network the list of currently connected wireless clients. Basically, what I want to achieve is to have displayed this view (see attachment) on a wireless network map.

Did you ever figure out how to do this? I wanted to create several Orion Network Atlas maps of my office floorplan and place the access points from the Wireless view on this (we have 12). However, when you go into Atlas you only have the option of dragging in REGULAR nodes/interfaces.

So if for example you have Thin AP's you wish to drag onto the map you will have to add those as ICMP only nodes and then you can drag them on. The Controller/Thin AP is a parent child relationship and are treated as one entity from a node stand point. Let me know if this does not achieve what you are looking to do

Thanks for the idea. The functionality I am looking for is to create a floorplan with the Access Points mapped out so that if you click on them it brings the viewer to the individual pages from that wireless adapter from the Wireless Thin AP view. If you go the ICMP route it just bring you to the ping page which doesn't have the information like the client name, RSSI, etc...which may not be possible.

Did you ever try using netwok monitoring tools?

I think you can get a map as well as other netwoking notifications.

Network monitoring tools? Is that the same as the Engineer's Toolkit?
