HTML SolarWinds Alerts

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to configure Orion to send HTML alerts via email.

I have configured numerous alerts which I would like the ability to include hyperlinks to KB articles etc, however it seems that I can only send plain text mail. I've tried entering HTML tags in the message field, however the header of the mail contains content-type: text/plain; and consequently will never work

I'm pretty sure that this is possible somehow, as Report Scheduler produces HTML mails.

Any help appreciated.

It's my belief that this is hard-coded in the alert engine and so, is not possible at all. If anything, this sounds like it would be feature request for improving the alert engine.

You have to create custom html or page for this one.

Hope solarwind should include on their road map the improvement of reporting and alerting since this is one critical function of monitoring

Ok, that is the solution in my case... I send web page in the alert, and I use variables with GET method in the URL.

There are some tags that I have gotten to work. <B>BOLD</B> is one of them. HREF's and COLOR doesn't seem to work though. I am running 10.1 BTW.
