How to generate alerts from MOM with Orion product

We're having problems generating alerts from MOM from the alerts sent from the Orion product connector. Here's the problem we're having: None of the routers or switches show up in the MOM console until an alert is forwarded from Orion. Once we get an alert, MOM creates an "unmanaged computer" object for the router. The domain name always shows up as "SOLARWINDS", so I tried creating a computer group based on the domain name. Unfortunately, the computer count for that group is always 0 objects (so far). Since the alert rule group is tied to the computer group, none of the alerting rules are going to fire until we can get the computer group to display correctly, and even then there's no guarantee. Some of these dialog boxes within MOM have drop down lists, that only display the current list of domains we have on our network.
Does anyone here generate MOM alerts from the alerts sent from Orion and can help?? Thanks so much!

Yes, we are using the MOM connector. MOM is receiving the Orion alerts, need help in figuring out how to generate the alerts in MOM. Thanks!
