Orion 8.1 - Report Creation - SLA Service Outage

Hi there,

I am getting through my reports rather good and trying to expand.

Currently I am report when a node or WAN interface is Down and UP to give a daily ops representation of the issues.

I would like to generate report that the will calculate the outage/down time of a node or interface. Can you help with me with this?

As far as nodes are concerned, try looking at the following post. The "Outage Duration" report attached near the bottom of the thread may provide what you're looking for. If not as-is, it may with a little manipulation. Further manipulation may also make it useful for interfaces as well.

Here is a report we wrote reporting SLA percentage for a class of servers for the last month.

I think you can save this as an .orionreport file and edit it.

I tried to create a new report in Report Writer and executed the SQL it fails on the first statement with "SQL ERROR: Line1: Incorrect Syntax near '<' ". Does this have to be done in SQL Enterprise Manager? What am I not understanding here?

Copy and paste into your reports folder, save as an xxx.orionreport file. You can then edit the report in report writer

I too would really like a report that calculates the down time / outage duration of WAN interfaces to monitor our telco SLA. The "Outage Duration" custom report mentioned further in this thread is great for nodes but I am at a loss as how to modify its SQL code to extract the down time of interfaces...

Did anyone manage to modify it for interfaces?
