advanced alert action Failing

after recently upgrading my SLX box to 2k8 64bit my alert email actions don't seem to be working. I am getting the error: EXCEPTION STACK: --> Failure sending mail. : System : at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(M

Has anyone run into this. I really need to get my alerts back online.

This generally indicates a communication problem with the SMTP server. Did you confirm that your SLX box can connect to your SMTP server on port 25? Is there some configuration required on your firewall or SMTP server to allow communications between the two boxes?
