NPM SNMP v3 RO not working in cisco router

Hi All,

NPM SNMP v3 works in cisco router only when i configure it with RW acess. RO does not work? Test fails

DOes anyone know the reason?

SNMP failed in solarwinds as I had entered in both SNMPv3 credentials and SNMP read/write credentials. Once i removed SNMP RW, tests passed!

Can you post the Snippit of the SNMPv3 Configuration? This issue usually occurs if the SNMPv3 RO account does not have enough privileges to the MIB tree.

Hi Sean,

Here is my config. As soon as i change from read to write, NPM test works.

snmp-server user testuser testgroup v3 auth md5 XXXX priv aes 128 XXX access ACL

	snmp-server group testgroup v3 priv read snmpview access ACL
	snmp-server view snmpview system included
	snmp-server view snmpview cisco included
