unkown state and no stats on interfaces

Hello all. First time poster, long time lurker. I have been running my orion box for some time now, and everything is working great. This morning, I noticed all of my interfaces are showing unkown as the status and they are not pulling data any longer. These devices are inside a firewalled network, so I checked the firewall and nothing has changed. Here is the weird part, if I click on the guage next to a router interface, I can pull real time interface statistics, but I cannot get them via orion. Anyone know what would be causing orion to not see these devices any longer, and yet everything else (including CLI) can see them using SNMP?

The tests you ran for SNMP connectivity were run from the Orion server?

First off, thank you for responding! yes they were on the same server that is running orion. I have MG-SOFT, Solarwinds Engineering tools (v8), and the command line windows version of snmp. I can poll and get stats on the interfaces from these tools, but not from orion itself. I tried removing a couple of devices and re-adding them. All that accomplished was I lost my historical data! $:\$

Oh yeah, and when I "validate snmp" it always comes back "Node Validation Successful" . Very strange since it seems like it should be working.

what version of Orion are you running?

Have you checked the Orion services and or the maintenance log at

C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\swdebugMaintenance.log

I'm running 8.5. I don't know what to look for in that log, but everything seems to be in order. nothing appears out of the ordinary or say it's an error. Some devices are still working only some are not, although they all validate just fine.
