Application Monitor with Beta Alert Engine
jkeberle
I have the alerts set up with the following
Trigger Alert when all of the following apply
Node Name / starts with / CustomerXXX-
Application Status / is equal to / Down
for the Triggered Event I selected to Email me..
The Message is where I am having issues. Below is my Trigger and Reset Email message.
${NodeName} is in the state of ${StatusDescription}
Process ID - ${ProcessIDs}
My goal is to have the following Message be sent
snmp.exe on Mycompany-SQLServ is in the state of Application Stopped
Process ID - 501
In other words, i just want a understandable message that a service "in solarwinds case and application" has died and then another message that states if it recovers. I notice that ALOT of applications kill and restart themselves which I am HOPING is really the case and not solarwinds collecting bogus data. I am assumming that they see a application stop because its not in the tree and then later see it RESTART because it reappears with a different Process ID tag.
