Nortel 8310 Port Names

I have noticed that the port names on Nortel 8310's don't display correctly whereas 8600's show all the port information. I believe this is because Solarwinds is using the standard mib2 ifdescr oid, I have had a look through the rapid communications mib and found that rcportname oid (.1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.4.10.1.1.35) would return the full port information on the 8310's. The question is how do I go about getting the 8310's that are discovered on my Solarwinds to use that mib to display port information.

We are running v9.1.0 of Solarwinds, I am trying to find out the version of software running on our 8310's. All that is displayed is the port numbers for the 8310's, where we have added labels for the ports thise is not displayed, I have run a mib browser and confirmed that the 8310 don't return this information just using mib2 ifdescr but will if I use the rapid communications rcportname oid. As this excludes the version of Solarwinds I would assume it is something to do with the software running on the 8310. This however brings me back to the same question how do I get Solarwinds to use this oid for my 8310s

I'm running NCM 5.1.1 and ERS 8300 4.0.3.  NCM properly discovers port names at these two levels.  Are you running 5.1.1 and 4.0.3?
