Report on interfaces where utilization spikes over 90% last 24 hours

Hello All,

Was looking for a report on interfaces where the utilization has spiked to 90% in last 24 hours, so that I can schedule it for my network team for proactive monitoring.

I tried fetching it from event summary, didn't help much.

Seeking some help!!

Open Report Designer and create a new Historical Interface traffic report for Interfaces that hit 90% or above. Set time frame to 24 hours.

This works for me - oops, I set mine to 95%...

Why do you just create an alert for this? That way they get an email alerting them to the issue rather than having to look at a screen.

And if you have netflow, you can include a link in the email straight to the interface in netflow so that you can see who's causing all the traffic.

There is nothing in this report that would stop you from creating the same logic in the web based report writer, I try to discourage people from creating new reports in RW since it is a legacy tool at this point and cannot be edited from the web console and if you migrate servers you have to remember to manually copy all the RW report files between them. Web based reports live in the database and require not additional steps to migrate.
