Is it necessary to have devices to be monitored to have their time synced with the pollers?

As global company we have device in all across the location and switches and routers are in their local time zones. and our solarwinds servers are in CST time zone

so,Is it necessary to have the monitored device (Switches and routers )to be on the same time as solarwinds (i.e on CST).

I don't believe so? I guess it depends. The Solar Winds server will log everything in its local time. CST as you stated. It will not use the routers or switches local time.

Are you trying to achieve relevance in time for the local support team or the remote team in this scenario?
