Install error with Orion v9.5!!

Upon running the executable for version 9.5 I am informed that my versions of NTA, APM. NCM and/or VoIP may be out of date and need to be upgraded prior to completing the installation of Orion.

I checked the registry and all of my modules are at the latest version and service pack level.

Any ideas what may be happening? Also, what level SQL user is required with 9.5?

I am having the same problem. I am running APM 2.5, NPM 9.1 SP5 and NCM 5.1 however I do recall a peer installing VOIP a while back as a demo but it was uninstalled. I did see the tables in the NetPerfmon db and support said to drop them which I did, rebooted the Orion server however I still receive the same error. I believe this must be related to that VOIP demo.

Try removing the VoIP folder, that should fix it.

SQL must be 2005 or 2008, 2000 isn't support with 9.5.

You will need NCM5.5 if you want it to work right within the Orion website.

Ya tried that as well it was actually already gone from the previous uninstall I believe that my peer did a while back.

I would recommend open a support ticket to address any upgrade issues you come across

Is it listed in the add/remove programs under the control panel still?

I had the same problem upgrading from NPM v9.1 sp5.

I also tried upgrading NCM to v5.5, but this still didn't fix it for me - still said some modules needed updating before upgrade could continue.

Unfortunately i had to uninstall NCM altogether before it would let me upgrade NPM to v9.5 but now its working.....

I talked to a technician this morning, and he advised that NPM 9.5 requires the NCM Integration Module 5.1 to interface with NCM. If any of you are on version 5.0 of the integration module, you'll need to upgrade that to 5.1 before you install NPM 9.5. Then you should be able to run NCM 5.1.1 -- or, better yet, NCM 5.5.

If you don't have version 5.1 of the integration module, call support and they'll get your versioning straightened out.
