Problem adding nodes/interfaces

Running version 7 SLX.

Occasionally when I try to add a node I get this box that pops up and contains the following information:

**********************************************************************
This release (ORION) of Network Performance Monitor is limited to monitoring no more than 10000000 network elements.

You will need to upgrade to the next release in order to monitor more network elements.
**********************************************************************

Does anyone know what is causing this and if it's fixed in v7.8?

Hi Mith,

Assuming you don't already have 10 million elements in your Orion database I would say this is a bug you should bring to the attention of the SW support folks. I am sure they will know how to handle the issue.

Version 7.8 is a significant step up if you are considering upgrading. The additions of the Application and Wireless packages enhance the usefullness of the product greatly.

I talked to support last week about my problem and they had me restart the service but it happened again yesterday so I just upgraded to 7.8.

Hopefully this fixed the problem.
