Message Center: Why Is It Pulling from the "Name of Alert" field?

Ok, first off, kudos to the developers for creating Message Center and then souping it up. It sure beats having to install an aggregator tool like PEM/BEM (Shudder).

Now, 2 issues:

1. Why doesn't the Alert Name List (see screencap below) update when I add a new alert?

For example, I created an alert called "ACTION REQUIRED----------------------", see screencap, and it has not appeared in the Alert Name list (see screencap). What is the time delay here?

2. Why does Message Center appear to be pulling the "Name of Alert" information when I select my alerts to appear in the filtered view of Message Center?

So, how do I populate the Message field with the proper info, or is this just not done in this view?

On the first question.Can you delete the alerts and recreate and make sure you "Test" them to see if the results show positive.(I tried to replicate but didn't find the problem like yours)

What is your suite setup with versions?

On the second question,you have an option to click "ACTION REQUIRED---------" which open a pop-up.This allows you to enter notes,which I believe is what you might want to do.Otherwise you have to get the right information in the edit alert,"name of alert" field.
