Hi all,
Hoping someone can get me started on this or may have implemented something similar:
Background: I have nodes with primary and backup connectivity to HQ, lets say primary is ADSL and back up is LTE. Both use DMVPN back to HQ with different tunnel IP addresses, lets say: ADSL 192.168.100.10/24 and 4G 192.168.101.10/24.
I wish to have a view in solarwinds that shows me at a glance what type of connectivity is currently in use for that particular node. For example if the primary adsl connection has failed and the site has automatically failed-over to it's back up connection.
As the path to the sites LAN would now have address 192.168.101.x in it, is there a way to show this and update the view to say - "this site is now using it's backup LTE connection" ??
I guess would have to have a traceroute script or something running in the background which would pull out the 192.168.x.x address?
I'm not a programmer and so far I have found anything similar when searching - anybody else attempted anything like this?
Cheers,
Rich
