how can I set an alert for an interface that's flapping. I want it to work on all interfaces even if I have it set to show unplugged or not. thanks.
Create an alert configured like the screen shot I attached here. Should do the trick.
this looks like it would never send an alert? How can the status be equal to down and unplugged at the same time?
You are correct sorry you should have a condition group of any...then state down or unplugged or an alternative you could still use all and have two conditions. One for NOT UP and one for Not Unmanaged.
it seems like I saw a way to have it count so I could set an alert to tell me if the interface went down 5 times in the last 30 minutes? do you know where the count is?
