Can you give us more detail? Dev and I chatted, and we think we know what you're referring to, but then again, maybe not.

Thanks for your reply.

Our Microsoft Exchange storage is SAN-based, so in addition to typical trending provided by EMC reporting, we hope to understand trending for actual “Store” storage per mailbox and for instance, point in time graphs showing the Store size changes.

1. Is it possible to trend databases to discover daily/weekly read/writes?

2. Is it possible to trend storage usage to establish future consequences?

(Out of space, usage fluctuations, etc.)

3. Is it possible to trend throughputs for server and/or array ports?

Trending is just a core part of whatever we monitor. The question is whether we can collect that data. Those metrics should be available via WMI. Have you used APM to browse the WMI tree?

I'm trying to do a POC using APM and WMI right now but it doesn't seem to work or something.

For instance, I have WMI monitoring Disk I/O on a server but I never see any values in STATISTIC DATA. Is this normal? Did I configure something wrong using WMI?

And then when I use Report Writer to do trending on this disk I/O I never anything in APM Components which can be used. Is this normal?
