ESX & 9.1

We are testing Orion 9.1 and on one of our ESX servers (we are monitoring 3 seperate ones), it doesn't show all of the VMs. Only 3 of them display despite there being about 10 different VMs on that machine. On the two other servers, all the VMs show. Any ideas?

We have seen this before where the VMConfigFile column in the VirtualMachines table is too short. Change it from varchar(100) to varchar(250) and you should see your VMs after the next polling cycle without having to restart anything.

Karlo, can you provide the SQL statement that can be used inside the Database Manager to make this change? I'd like to do it but I'm not real familure with SQL.

Sure.

ALTER TABLE VirtualMachines ALTER COLUMN VMConfigFile varchar(250);

If you are running this from Database Manager, make sure you have selected your Orion database as the database to execute this SQL on. It shouldn't harm any other databases though, unless they happen to have a VirtualMachines table with a VMConfigFile column.
