ESX Polling Failure: Invalid Credentials

I keep having problems with 4 of my ESX Host servers. I re-entter the password and I get the same error. How do I fix this?

Enabling the Web console did the trick. Thanks a lot. Here is how you enable the Web console.

Using putty, login to the ESX host.

service vmware-webAccess start This starts the service

chkconfig vmware-webAccess This enables the console on reboot

To confirm, open a browser to the ESX host. On the right side select “Log in to Web Access.

If from the Orion server you open a browser and try to hit the ESX web console view, can you get to it?

I don't have the web console enabled. I can login from putty using the same user, root, abd password.

Are you able to add any of your ESX servers? If yes, do those have the web console enabled? We are using the VMWare web services API to gather info/data.

Yes I can add EXS servers and none of them have the Web console enabled. I am looking into enabling the Web console.
