Whenever I update solarwinds, Orion installation takes 40 mins on 'Import Canned reports to ReportDefinitions table'.
Why below steps takes too much time, is there any way to make orion installation faster
Good news! Today's release of Orion Platform 2019.4 Hotfix 2 includes a change to how we handle the import of reports. You should notice a significant improvement with this update.

Much faster than it was a year ago, but as a side question, how can we just ditch the legacy canned reports if we no longer want them? It seems like no matter where I remove them from, the come back and are queues to be imported again.
^ agreed, I would absolutely love to be able to delete all of the OOTB alerts and reports.
As part of our continued efforts to improve the configuration wizard and reduce the time taken to install/upgrade, with the release of the Orion platform 2019.4 the OOTB reports have been migrated to the web-based report writer.Orion Platform 2019.4 Release Notes
