UDT doesn't resolve hostnames.

Hi guys,

As I understand, not only I have the problem

My UDT test installation doesn't resolve hostnames, but IP Addresses were detected. L3 Device is Cisco 7607 with RO SNMP Access.

Does somebody find "silver bullet"?

I am not too familiar with UDT myself but can your solar winds server resolve the DNS for that device without using UDT?

I'd suggest the same - try to run nslookup on the machine where UDT is installed. If that works then UDT should be able to resolve IP addresses into hostnames. If not, then probably open ticket with support as we'll need to investigate diagnostics to see why it doesn't work.

Yes, my UDT server resolve both ip->hostname, hostname->ip.

I see now some resolved hostnames (~10) for Indirect and Unknown types of connection. But nothing resolved for Direct Connection. I think I can't open ticket, because I use trial version for testing.

And as I can see, it's typical problem for UDT
