Lost alerts from Beta Alert Manager
pguenther
Recently, I noticed that I stopped receiving certain pages from Orion. I am using the Beta Alert Manager. I look at the Alerts and they are all gone. Anyone ever have this happen? Is there a way I can restore them? It took a long time to configure them all and I don't really have the time to do it from scratch again.

I restarted the server and seem to have the alerts back now. Not sure what happened though.

I have seen something weird. When you copy an alert in the beta alerting engine, the trigger and reset actions disappear in the original (but are now in the copy.)
I haven't confirmed that this happens every time in exactly this fashion, but I've seen it happen a lot.

Yep, these are known issues with the Beta Alert Manager:

Even after reboot I found that alerts were not being triggered although the old alert engine was working fine. I checked out those other discussions and found that a reinstall fixed the problem. Today, however I have had the same thing happen AGAIN. I will do the reinstall again, but does any know why this keep happening and how to prevent it? I notice the BAM also becomes very sluggish when navigating the interface and often hangs for minutes at a time when this happens. I see an entry in the event viewer from last night for the Alerting Engine (not sure if it is related or not).
