IE7 & Solarwinds

Are there any plans to fix the layout of web interface of Orion under IE7 in 8.1? As you are probably well aware, things are a little askew in IE7. Does this warrant an official support request or is this something that is well known and on its way to being fixed?

I've not used IE7 much at all and this may sound like a stupid roundabout way of doing things, but does IE7 have a plug-in similar to the IETab in Firefox? If so, maybe it can be used to call up IE6.

IE6 and IE7 cannot co-exist on the same computer so when using IETab in FireFox with IE7 installed on the computer you are actually using the IE7 rendering engine, which is the problem. The obvious workaround is to use Firefox but I wanted to make sure that SolarWinds was aware of the problem. I know it's a trivial issue but I get asked about it on a regular basis.

Hmm...if they cannot co-exist, then does IE7 create a specialized uninstall that will reinstall IE6? I ask because the one machine I've used IE7 on, I was able to successfully uninstall it and use IE6 without re-installing IE6. Believe me, I'm not doubting you, I'm just trying to understand.

The uninstall of IE7 is no different then a hotfix or service pack. All of the files that were replaced during the installation are stored in a folder located in %SystemDirectory\$NTUninstall. That way should you need to uninstall the hotfix/service pack, or in this case, the browser there is something to roll back too.

There is actually a seperate download for IE6 that can co-exist with IE7.
Just do a quick search on google for standalone ie6 and you should find something
