SNMPv3 Signature of incoming packet could not be verified

I get "Signature of incoming packet could not be verified with the local user credentials" for SNMPv3 traps sent to Orion NPM, even though the SNMPv3 creds match in the device and on the Orion poller. When I restart the SNMP trap service on Orion, these start working for about an hour and then start failing again. I'm having trouble getting resolution from Solarwinds support. I've had a ticket open for a month or more and can't get direct feedback from developers. Has anyone else seen this problem or have any suggestions? This is NMP v11.5.

Solarwinds developers found that SNMPv3 traps from 4 specific devices that were using a key for SNMPv4 authentication seemed to be causing SNMPv3 trap failure in the trap service. This appeared to be a bug, but I don't know if they documented it as one. My solution was to change the 4 devices configs (and corresponding Orion config) to use ASCII string for authentication.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did a repair install on NMP and Orion core services, but this did not resolve the issue.
