Interface no longer exist V9

We are having problems with interface's no longer existing on our 72xx Cisco Routers. We have about 6 7200's and they are all doing the same.

ert01.xxx.xxx -Port-channel1.997 · xxxxxx - Interface no longer exists. Data collection terminated.

a few secs later it comes back. We have only seen this problem after upgrading to V9.

Any ideas?

I am seeing a similar issue with a cisco 3750 switch stack. Ever since upgrading to ver 9.0 I see the interface disappeared message for all the interfaces and then like 10 minutes later they all reappear. This happens at random throughout the day.

I have the same issue with an FWSM that I have just noticed. Anyone ever have any ideas on this?

Yes, v9 introduced this problem, if I remember correctly. Are you on the latest service pack for 9.0 or 9.1? I believe 9.0 is where this started, but SP1 resolved the issue.

I realised I was still on 9.0 so upgraded to 9.1 sp3 this morning. I'll let you know if I have any more issues with the interfaces. Thanks for the reply.

I looked back at my original ticket and the issues with disappearing/reappearing interfaces started when I upgraded to 9.0 SP1. I was given some special DLLs by support, which stopped the problem. I believe that SP2 contained the fix for this problem for good. I have not seen the issue since and we are on 9.1 SP2 at the moment.

I am at 9.5 SP2 and I have this problem all the time with a Cisco 4404 wireless controller.
