Is there a way to print the results of an ASCII command script via NCM?

Hello,

I have several nodes (not SNMP capable) that I am trying to retrieve some information on by running a command script with some ASCII commands. Wen I run the script it appears to successfully execute. However, I am unable to see the return values. Is there a way to retrieve this output? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Could you please share more details?

The steps I would take are:

Go to NCM Web UI
Configs -> Configuration Management -> Execute Script
Type the script, select nodes and execute.
Then you can check the result

Hi Jiri,

The setup is basically an SSH session to a remote node (which successfully connects), then from the linux shell of the remote node the script telnets to a control board on another IP within the same chassis on port 4902 (this also seems to connect fine) then an ASCII command is executed ( {A?N}J ), which is supposed to return a value. When I save the results, all I see are the commands within the script. Below are the results saved from NCM:

telnet 172.28.32.2:9402

I'm afraid you have to connect to the device directly if you want to gather some output.

You could also look at SAM right?
