Lack of information regarding wireless heatmaps.

One of the main reasons I began looking into Solarwinds was the ability to add all of my standalone Cisco AP's and see important information in a central location. I thought that the idea of wireless heat maps were awesome and was a big selling point to management on going forward with the trial.

Very quickly we found out that our AP's weren't even supported due to a Cisco WLC with Cisco LAP's being required. No problem, as this was only a tick on the list of things that we needed. However, I thought it was a bit of false advertising or misrepresentation on SW's part to advertise their wireless product within NPM and not even include any mention of the requirement of a WLC, as seen here;

Am I out of line thinking this? Am I missing something?

If you take a look at the NPM Admin guide, at the bottom of page 538, it does specify that currently only Cisco controllers are supported.

Granted, the link you shared doesn't spell this out, but I would expect anyone making a significant investment into infrastructure management software would do enough research into the potential solutions on the table, and the prerequisites/requirements there of, before purchasing.

However, the wireless heat maps are a really handy feature, and used by many, so I would expect much expanded support in the not to distant future!
