Want to retrive data from switch for ports occupied and nonoccupied

want to generate a report or want to creat a universal device poller, to gate the data from all the switches for port occupied and free, i generated a report from the report writer which shows me up ports down ports and unplugged ports, all the ports denerate alerts if goes down, so i have made user ports as unplugged, some ports on the switch are admin down.

i am doing this in terms of capacity management.

someone please help me for generating this report or to creat a custom device poller or univercal device poller

we can get thru report writer however need some guidance in writing a query, please see below the filters and field

Above screen shots will show the fields and filter,I want to extract a report which will show un occupied ports, my logic is if the port is polled as down since last 3 months that means this port is not in use, i guess this option is not available with report writer, i am trying to extract with operational status and aministrative status, please guide

Hey Mate,

Not exactly however i can get detailed status of each swith how many ports are up how many ports are down and how many ports are shutdown in each switch

if you follow the same senario as in the screen shot you will get the same output,

in my case i have made user port unplugged to avoid false alerts, so i am not able to get exact data. if your case is not same as mine then this should work.
