6509 fwsm issue

how do we usually represent the ff in the map maker

 

cisco 6509 with msfc, fwsm, vpn spa

-ive just added the msfc in the discovery/map and all the tunnels shows so theres no issue representing the msfc and vpn spa in the map.

-fwsm cannot be seen anywhere as a resources on the msfc.

solution 1.

-add the fwsm module as a separate entity but how will i show the connectivity in this case

Hi,

We show our FWSM as separate devices to the 6500. Because there logical vlan interface for the connection between the FWSM and the 6500 this is what we use to represent the relation.

Problem is almost that the FWSM is a devices which is managed not from the 6500 itself . A device within a device.
