Servicepack 3 (Orion 8.5.1) Bug with custom properties??

Hi all,

I wanted to share this one.
After installing the Application Performance Monitor (latest version) in report writer i lost the connection with existing custom properties and in new reports i was not able to select custom properties. I reported the case to Solarwinds (33857).The problem was solved by adding an extra (new) node property and after i checked if it was solved deleted the new one again. In the mean time i hade to apply the servicepack 3 again and the problem popped up again.

My conclusion would be the problem was created after installation of the servicepack 3 because after installing the App Monitor we installed SP3 to.

I believe this is the standard documented issue whenever you update Orion.
You need to  re-run the Schema update tool in Custom Property Editor.

By adding and removing a Custom Property field, you are doing the same thing.
(Your support tech may not have been aware of this).
