Hi all,
I was just wondering what the process is to truncate a single table? Is it to go into DB Manager, select the table, go to query then TRUNCATE *table name"?
Sure is. here is an MS article
Thanks for the reply.
How about in the case of the npm wireless statistics table, which is locked with foreign key constraints?
Is there a way to truncate this table alone?
Distrubed guy,
Are you looking for the info contained in the following knowledge base article:
"Removing duplicate primary keys related to wireless data from Orion database tables"

HTH,
Hi Pacetti,
Nope that isn't it.
We have a table within an Orion Database called NPM Wireless statistics. We have noticed that there are some problems with some of the tables within the database, some work was carried out and I was running the database maintenance task manually, however when doing so it got stuck on the NPM Wireless statistics table.
We want to truncate this table to see if it will allow us to manually run the maintenance again, however as mentioned about the table, it is locked with foreign key constraints so what we want to know is how we can manually truncate this table, or if it can be done at all?
Thanks
