We are trying to use SolarWinds NPM and NCM to monitor our IP devices on the "smart grid". We are using a wireless carrier for some of our WAN connctions back to the corporate network. We pay for every MB we use through the wireless carrier. I would like to have the option to extend the polling interval beyond the current limits to minimize the traffic volume we need to pay for while monitoring these wireless modems. Default Node Poll Interval			seconds	Check response time and status every configured time interval.
Default Interface Poll Interval	seconds	Check response time and status every configured time interval.
Default Volume Poll Interval	seconds	Check response time and status every configured time interval.
Default Rediscovery Interval	minutes	Default rediscovery interval.

So you want more granular control of polling intervals for various devices? Device A poll at X and Device B poll at interval of Y?

Yes. Currently it looks like I can extend the poll no more than every 20 minutes. I would like the ability to back this down to once a day. The reason I ask is with the application we are using we could have 10s of thousands of these network devices running off of various wireless carriers.

Is there a low level setting that would let me go ahead and increase my time between polls?
