Would anyone please confirm that the error that I see is actually by design? I know it says what it says, but I am kind of confused - I was not expecting such "discrimination" - just checking with humans here

That is correct - 64-bit only. We may look at 32-bit support in the future, but it is difficult to have comparable filtering / analysis performance on a 32-bit platform.
