Setting up SNMP on AIX 5.3 Unix

I am trying to get Orion to monitor an AIX version 5.3 Machines volumes. Has anyone out there had any luck with this?
My system connects up to the AIX box via SNMP. The issue is that when it is monitoring the volumes on the system Orion keep reporting that the volumes have gone down then they come back up.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the SNMP agent in AIX Unix to work well with Orion?
