I love the maintenance mode feature, I never liked having to unmanage a server to do a reboot and now I don't have to because I can just mute the alerts for a period of time instead. Thanks
How long has this feature been here?
I also like the way you can schedule muting alerts and umanaging servers.
The alert muting feature was just added with the latest round of releases:
NPM 12.1 Release Notes - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
Glad to hear you like it!
Hi,
Is there a way to set up recurring scheduled maintenance? I don't see it addressed in the release notes.
Thanks,
Cheryl
There is a tool called "Unmanage Scheduling Utility" on the start menu under SolarWinds Orion -> Advanced Features that allows for scheduling unmanage tasks
Thanks, this is how I schedule recurring unmanage/manage requests today, using the utility. But when I was on a support call last week, the support representative told me about the changes in NPM 12.1 which would address our needs to set up recurring entries by using mute alerts during scheduled maintenance. He said I would no longer need to use the utility above. How will that work?
Thanks for the reply.
Hello,
Is there a way to manage nodes in maintenance mode? Filter by nodes currently muting alerts?
We would like to make this function open to our engineers but need a way to determine which nodes are currently suspending alerts.
I would assume we can create an alert i just have not confirmed or looked into it yet.
Anyone got anything?
