New user: looking for some help

I have 46 cisco 3750 switches. All switches has snmp enabled (public RO) but 2 switches failed the test.

The other device is a 5510 Cisco ASA firewal...the same problem.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with the 3 cisco devices that won't communicate ?

43 devices are ok.

Cant say whats happening.However could you run snmpwalk for those 3 devices in question to see if they are responding back with data.You may also go back to the SNMP script configured on those devices to see if there is something missing when compared to other ones.

Thanks Nandish....I can ping the 3 devices but not snmp.

I will try the toolkit.

Are there any access lists applied on the SNMP strings? It would look something like this

snmp-server community public RO xx

The xx represents a number at the end is the Access list. Used in this fashion it would only block SNMP but allow anything else. I believe it would be configured differently in the firewall but not entirely certain.

Just a thought, something I have ran into the past.
