port availability reports

I would like to know if there is a report that will give the PORT availability status (%) for week, 2weeks, month etc.   I found the availability reports for the actual unit but i need to see if the port on the router that is connected to one of the WAN connections is available in a report.  Could anyone help with this.  thanks in advance.

Hi Joe,

There is no default report that shows the Availability of an interface. You will have to create an Advanced SQL Report in the Report Writer.

The SQL Query could per example query the Events from the table of the same name that matches the following EventTypes (define in the table of the same name):

EventType/ID - Name

10  -  Interface Down
11  -  Interface Up
12  -  Interface Shutdown
13  -  Interface Unknown

Then the query will compute the down time or the up time and give you an average.

There is an example of a such report but that computes it for the devices () .

To create an advanced SQL report:

Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Alerting, Reporting, and Mapping > Report Writer

File > New and select Advanced SQL, then Click OK.
