DateTime field in the InterfaceTraffic_Detail table

Would anyone know what the DateTime field of the InterfaceTraffic_Detail table represents? Is this the Start Time of when the Bytes crossed thru the Router - meaning the time the traffic moved thru the network  or is this the time NPM polled the router for this information (which would be a time after the traffic moved through the network).

Any help would be appreciated,

The DateTime column represents the Date/Time that the Polling Engine polled from the router's SNMP-agent for this information.
