Universal poller for MVTS

Hello All!

I just downloaded trial version of Orion and start configuring. First I check All my Cisco Devices, all info taken right out the box. Then I tried MVTS and I get info from it, not bad. I take MVTS manual and with universal poller create custom values.

Great I get All values, but... I have trouble with graph.

For example I have Active calls OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.999.10.1.0.I made it as rate, without time range and add chart on Web. Now on web page I see something ... cps? 0,1 0,2? How It calculated ? I should see 1 call, 0 calls, 10 calls and so on. How I can made correct chart ?

But there are many additinal info about gateways, routes, terminators, originators. Now I am confused.

Each object has following OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.999.10.X.1.1.Y, where I can use X to choose object. For example If I need gate I should use instead of X 107. Now OID would be following 1.3.6.1.4.1.999.10.107.1.1.Y. Y is statistics object, ie Y=1 would be 1st gateway, 2nd and so on. As I understood it should be table. Here queston, How Orion works when I am select get table ? Does my config correct ?

Should I create each OID for all properties ? (ie 1.3.6.1.4.1.999.10.X.1.1.Y - index, 1.3.6.1.4.1.999.10.X.1.2.Y - name ). May I group all properties to show it like table or it would be a lot of different pollers ?

Let me see if I can try and help...

On the MTV Active Calls value, you want to make sure the value type is correct, do you know for sure that it's a rate? Also make sure you have the correct OID. We currently track active calls on an Ascend MAX box and it works fine so I know this is possible.

If you collect table data you can have Orion display that table and you can choose one of the table columns to use for the labels in the table. If you want specific values or OID's from the table you can do that by specifying the value you want in the OID, in this case you would need a specific poller for each one; if you do this beware of possible re-indexing changing what you are looking at.

Also, when working with tables, once you have different pollers collecting table data and have them displayed in the Orion WebUI, click "Edit" on that Web Resource and you can then see what different options you have as far as how that data is displayed, by doing this you can combine data from several different parts of the same table as long as it's in the same branch of the tree (at least this is my understanding).

I Suppose that type is correct. Active Calls are represented by Gauge type( i think so), there is no any mention in docs. I double checked OID, values seems to be correct. In Universal Poller values are stored and i see that all values are correct. But on graph values between 0 ant 1( values in universal poller are in range 0 - 10) I cannot make Orion to show correct graph.

Table... When I try to poll table I get only row, I think , it should be polled in different way. Can someone tell me how ?
