I have two site-to-site VPN tunnels that I've added an IP address on the remote end as an ICMP monitored node. One of these uses a customized "Node Details - Netadmin" view, the other uses "Access Point Details" view. BOTH are only ICMP nodes, why are they using different views?
My view settings are configured as, "by device type" and my UNKNOWN object type is set for "Node Details - Netadmin". Why the "Access Point Details" view is being used is beyond me. My "Access Point Details" view is set for the Cisco AIR AP 1130 and Cisco 1200 Access Point object types.
Thoughts?
You can't set views based on Custom Properties, which is a feature I would REALLY like to see, and other than views based on the machine type, I'm not aware of any other variables which would be driving the "Access Point Details" view to be selected for this node.
