Viewing/managing nodes in NPM/NCM intergrated environment

Question

We installed NCM and discovered our network devices and added them to the Inventory, then we installed NPM and ran the NCM-NPM integration executable.  But when I go to our NPM web page, there are no devices listed under "All Nodes".  Given that NCM and NPM are supposedly integrated, should I expect to see the nodes I discovered with NCM in the NPM page, or do I have to do a new discovery to populate NPM?

Swine,

Once you have discovered and added your elements in NPM, there is one other thing you may want to do depending on how invested you already are in the data contained in your NCM database.

You could import the nodes from NPM into NCM so that there is maximum integration between NPM and NCM. IF you have utilized custom properties to any extent in NPM, you could import them as well so the two apps are using common ones.

Just an idea to consider.

Hi,

NCm integartion will not give you a nodes list since it uses a different database than NPM. You will need to do a discovery with NPM in order to add your network devices. NCM integration will allow you to load resources ( data ) from the NCM database in Orion.

Please discover your network with NPM and add the discovered devices.
