World Map issue

Have an odd issue, since I upgraded the world map and it works great.  However there is one of my users who can only see 1-3 of the items that are on the map (and sometimes none).  Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions how to get this person to see em all again?

Not sure if it is related, but I have found that if an item is more than a few zoom levels away from the default map view it will not be seen when you zoom out.  For example, if my default view zoom level is an area of the United States I do not see any of the items that are in Europe or Asia no mater how far in or out I zoom in the map.  However, if I set the default view to see the entire globe, then I can see all my nodes and I can zoom in as much as I want and not loose visibility of any items.
