Hi!
Has anyone created a report on monthly bandwidth utilization for all the nodes, only from mondays till fridays 830am to 530pm. I'm not that fanmiliar with SQL.
Thanks
roselyn,
You don't need to know the sql to get that report, you can just use the report wizard. You could modify the default Average and Peak Traffic Rates report or just create a new Historical - Interface Traffic Report. The way to get the report to only report on your business hours is set on the Filter Results tab. You will need to add new elementary conditions for time of day and day of week. Your time of day conditions will be greater or equal to 08:30 and less than or equal to 17:30. Your day of week conditions will be not equal to Saturday and not equal to Sunday. Hopefully this along with the picture below makes sense. If not, let me know. Hope this helps!
wow thanks for your help! I have another inquiry, Can how can I published on the Orion Web these reports? I mean not as the report just like on the report tab but as the same as the ordinary view where I could monitor the CRC errors on a realtime basis. Also, can I create a report on custom mibs? Like for example CRC errors etc. Are the CRC errors same as with the errors and discards?
You can add any report you've created in Report Writer to any of your views. Just log in as admin and go to settings. In the Views section, click Manage Views. For example, if you wanted to add a report to your NPM Summary Home page, highlight that view in the list and click Edit. Decide which column you want your report to be in and click the plus (+) button for that column. That opens the Add Resources to NPM Summary Home Column X list. Down toward the bottom of the list, there is a group for Report Writer. Expand that group and check the box next to Report from Orion Report Writer. Then click the Submit button. You will now be back at the Customize NPM Summary Home page with the Report from Orion Report Writer added to whichever column you place it in. Next, click the Preview button at the bottom of the page. This opens a preview of the page with your new resource added. Find the new resource and click the "Click Here" link to select the report you want to show on the page. The available reports will be in a drop down list, just find the report you want and select it.
As far as reporting on CRC errors, I think you will have to use an Universal Device Poller to poll your devices for the CRC OID. I've never used it but I know there is a CRC UnDP in the Content Exchange area of Thwack. Here's the link to that poller:
A link to the report is in that post. If that doesn't work for you, I think there are a few other CRC pollers in the content exchange.
Hope this helps!
thanks!
How can I filter devices using my custom property? Then I wanted to display the devices grouped per custom property from this report?
