orion backend freezes

hi all,

the problem :
after starting the Orion system manager on the server (controlled via remote desktop connection), the application freezes. the service still runs but the GUI doesn't respond anymore.

after restarting the server (and sending alerts that all devices are up again...) everything works fine.

anyone has an idea about the reason ? does the latest patch address performance issues ?

Have you tried running it from the console instead of RDC?

I'm just curious as some apps have problems running in RDC.

No, not yet.
I think there are simply too many nodes to monitor (approx. 1000 nodes).

After updating to ver. 7.8.2 it works fine now. Seems like the promised performance improvements worked

I want to be able to group my nodes ! Argh !
