Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
HPUX and Host-Resources-Mib
Dagwood
I am curious to know if anyone else here using Orion to monitor HPUX 10.20 or 11.x Devices? In HP's wisdom, they are using thier own native MIB database which works with Network Node Manager. Of course Orion cannot work with the native snmp agent on Unix so I have found a solution by using the TCL-Scotty based Snmpd Agent on the HP Devices instead. It's a quick and dirty fix that loads the HOST-RESOURCE-MIBS so that I can use Orion for monitoring. I'd like to find a better solution that would allow me to use the HP Native Emanate agent instead so if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know. The Scotty based version is also snmpV1 and thus I want to get away from it for obvious reasons.
